An Art Exhibition

A powerful exploration of the life and work of Jamaican-born artist Joslyn Walker-Peart. Through paintings, poetry, music and conversation, the exhibition examines the transatlantic slave trade, migration, identity, resilience and the African-Caribbean diaspora.

Joslyn Walker-Peart

Joslyn Walker-Peart was a Jamaican-born artist whose work explored slavery, migration, identity, landscape and the Black experience. His collection was created not simply to be viewed, but to educate, challenge and preserve history.

The wider vision

Beyond Brixton, a journey still being drawn.

Following the Brixton exhibition, Tunakupenda plans to take Creative Encounters to towns and cities throughout the United Kingdom, particularly communities with limited access to cultural programmes.
